WHAT IS HSHP?
Founded in August of 2012, the Orangeburg High School for Health Professions (HSHP) is a public, charter high school in Orangeburg, South Carolina for students interested in pursuing careers in the healthcare industry. The High School for Health Professions offers a range of courses and opportunities for students to earn college credits and excel both inside and outside of the classroom. In addition, students may enroll in completer programs and gain certifications in such programs as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Medical Assistant (MA), Pharmacy Technician and others.
While Orangeburg HSHP focuses on the healthcare professions and provides many opportunities in the field, the ultimate goal is to prepare students successfully enroll in a two-year or four-year college/university, enter the workforce, or enlist into the military upon graduation.
